Prologue
Although this article subjects mainly Jesus Christ, the concept can be applied to other enlightened personalities like Gautama Buddha or Sons of Gods from other faith systems or anyone who is known to possess divine spirit. Using Jesus Christ as the subject material can be offensive to some religious persons. However, the intention was not to offend anyone’s faith or religion. The reason why Jesus was used as the main subject because I believed majority of the readers would be familiar with Christian doctrines which would help them to understand the deepness of the Paradox.
The Divine Spirit in Man
Neo-platonists, Kabbalists & many Mysticists often refer to a faith system where the concept of spirit, soul & its relationship with God plays major part. Concepts such as Nirvana, Reincarnation & Karma often depict God as light, as the source of every creation & state the divine nature of Soul.
This form of mysticism contains theoretical and practical parts, the first dealing with the high origin of the human soul showing how it has departed from its first estate, and the second showing the way by which the soul may again return to the Eternal and Supreme. The system can be divided between the invisible world and the phenomenal world, the former containing the transcendent one from which emanates an eternal, perfect, essence, which, in turn, produces the world-soul.
It’s not only these mystics or kabbalists; the importance of soul can be seen almost in every religion. Abrahamic religions which don’t believe in Reincarnation or Nirvana, still conforms to the importance & everlasting nature of soul. According to their faith system,
Every time a human egg and sperm unite, God steps in and, by an act of instantaneous, supernatural, transcendental magic, transforms that egg into an eternal, everlasting life-spirit called a human being.
Top 15 Animal Clones
A Brave New World
Cloning can be coined as the most wonderful & mind freaking invention of modern science. Scientists have been cloning animals for many years. However, the possibility of human cloning, raised only when the Scottish scientists at Roslin Institute created the much-celebrated sheep "Dolly". This aroused worldwide interest and concern because of its scientific and ethical implications. Since Dolly, researchers have cloned a number of large and small animals including sheep, goats, cows, mice, pigs, cats and rabbits. Although most religious sects are strictly against human cloning, Cloning can be a blessing for many people.
Now science has blessed us with the ability to Clone Humans. And with this new ability, we can easily doubt, question & find out the validity of the above mentioned faiths & believes of the existing faith systems. For instance, we can present our religious friends with new puzzles:
- Are we just our physical bodies? Or Are we eternal Divine Beings who simply inhabit human bodies?
- If there is an eternal divine soul inside everyone then what is inside of a newly cloned human being?
- Are we just cloning the human body or are we cloning the soul at the same time?
- Doesn’t Cloning indicate that we are capable of creating divine spirits & ever lasting souls just like God?
- If reincarnation, karma & nirvana are true & if this world is a never ending cycle of Maya, then where does this new soul is coming from (in the cloned body)?
Dont Pray, Just Pay!
That’s not all, here comes the intriguing part: What if we could clone our beloved Jesus Christ! Since there is no preserved body (no body to be precise) of Jesus is available to us, we can not get a DNA sample of him easily. However we can always look for other ways.Everyone is well aware of the Second coming of Jesus. Now when Jesus comes, what if we take a sample DNA from him and clone him? (Most Kabbalists, Jews & Christians would find it offending for sure, but I think even if Jesus comes back, he would be a very open minded man & will support the scientific cause).
Now before Digging Deeper with Christ, we better settle down with the core thing. When we are creating clones, are we:
A) creating new souls from the scratch? or
B) just multiplying the same soul
Which option will you go for? I bet our religious friends would go for option B. Because choosing Option A, would give our scientists the status of GOD (Finally they are creating eternal souls).

Why don't you share your opinion. When we are cloning a person...

Paradox of Divine Clones
Now just for the sake of argument, lets go for Option B. We can assume that when we are cloning a person we are just cloning the body, but not the soul. May be the same soul gets multiplied or split each time when we clone someone (in a magical way of course). Thus we are not creating any divine soul & giving our religious friends a break! However, since Jesus has a God spirit or since his soul has reached the level of God, a split will result in a similar quality souls in his clones. Therefore, when we clone him, his clones are probably going to possess same divine souls as he has (This leads to the Paradox of Divine Clones).
- Doesn’t that mean we can create multiple sons of God??
or more precisely
- Can we create Gods by ourselves?? Clone Gods??
Ahh, Im just waiting for his second coming... Jesus could one day have a whole new human cloning career, selling cells from his body to make hundreds of "Perfect Sons of God!" Good time is ahead. Just use your imagination: Red Cross can have their heavenly brand ambassador, Budweiser can have its divine drunkard & even porn studios can have their Holy Stick at the same time. Everyone one will be happy... the kingdom of God will be established right here!
Just imagine their marketing campaign, the promotional offers that will be given by Cloning institutes in paper ads or in TV ads:
"Clone Gods, Anybody?"... "Don't Pray, Just Pay!..." or may be "Spend Your Summer Vacation with - JESUS!" & during off seasons...
"Buy one God & Get one free!"
Finally, Everyone Can Have a Savior of Their Own…

This is a very interesting concept, Rishy Rich. Frightening, too, but interesting. Forgive me for being a bit pessimistic about the possible consequences of our each cloning our own deity...but I do live in a current world with a bunch of insane, albeit some so lovable people - who currently cannot find peace in all their imagined higher deities...
If we each were to have the opportunity and the scientific backing to each clone our own god... wow, what a much more interesting world this would be, eh? "Take that back right now, what you said, of I'll pull my God out and annihilate you on the spot, by the way, pass the salt, please?" and "Do not take my Lord's name in vain, he's sitting right over there...yes that's him, over by the rubber tree plant, yes, the one with the halo - have some respect, willya?"
Fabulous, thought provoking, and provocative. Greatly done!
We wouldn't need to clone Him, (He probably wouldn't allow it anyway) He is everywhere and available to everyone.
Most of this IS offensive and insensitive.
It's offensive to the person and the work of God.
It's insensitive to the deep-held beliefs of His followers who love Him.
God is unique. He is NOT a created being. The notion of cloning God is absurd and irrational.
God is all powerful. Why do you find it so simple that He would allow you to clone Him? What would you then DO with your own personal clone of God?
Let's try a comparison for the sake of my personal sanity, OK?
The ant, though mighty for it's size is miniscule compared to a human. Although capable of coordinated actions, the ant has little mental ability. Compared to human reasoning, the ant's abilities are negligible.
OK so far?
So why would a human agree to be cloned at the request of an ant? What would the ant do with it's clone? Given that I don't think anyone would want to offer an ant a human clone, let's move on to what the ant would DO with it's God-sized human clone.
The clone would do those things that ants want done..find food, build shelter, take out the trash. Nice. The ants would make the clone THEIR servant. So much for God being God.
Can't you see why this is so offensive? It lowers God down to a nobody with no personality, no self-respect and no real dignity.
BUT...let's lose the clone idea.
What if God decided to give up His powers, His authority and His place over His creation..willingly? (NO. Not because we asked Him so we could USE him.)What if He decided to do it...for His own reasons?
What if He came to us via birth? Was born just like us? His Dad would be the Father in heaven. The mom, a woman. The Father would combine the DNA, insert it into the mother's egg...not a clone.
A Savior.
LOL. If you think because I'M illogical it makes Jesus false YOU'RE illogical. -Just because scientists and mathematicians CANNOT prove how the bee can fly does not make the bees flight a lie.
You said,"We would ask for the ultimate truth, the secret of creation & eternal knowledge which would take us to the status of God".
This is the same illogical stuff with a new subject. Do you think HAVING knowledge will transform you into GOD? That's just magic, superstition. Magic is like using an incantation (a spell cast by chanting words) to cause some physical effect.
Do you live near Disneyland? Sounds like you've been too many times visiting The Wizard's Apprentice, bro.
So, if you're an ant; what's wrong with your life? Is the grass always greener; find yourself envious of the other side of the fence?
What makes you believe that you, personally would become a more fulfilled human (or God) if you're so dissatisfied with your human experience now? Nope. You'll still be you, but with more power.
AH, is THAT it? You lack power so you want to be ALL-POWERFUL? Wouldn't that be just great for all the rest of us!?!
Rishy Rich,
The concept is thought provoking. Atleast it could generate some debate. Let there be debate for many issues and let us wait for the reality. There is a saying that " Time is the best healer". It is also like that. Time will determine some day what is truth what is not! But I believe if next Jesus Crist( If we believe so) comes, he will be open minded. Let us be open minded, not to be rigid one. Aceptance and non-aceptance depends on individual's perception and belief. Lets not continue to debate rather treat as a concept only.Concepts are not always the truth. Thanks for a thought provoking concept. Well done. Keep it up.
You're just teasing with the idea of cloning a God, because all the saviours and messiahs are conveniently gone. But about cloning the soul, I'm sure that if we cloned a human being, he would behave just as any one of us, establishing that if there is a soul in every person, clones have one as well. Let the religious folks figure an excuse for that. (And they will figure one out. They're pretty creative for these kind of things)
Thanks for a very interesting and thought-provoking hub Rishy. I think that if humans were cloned, they would all have their own 'soul' -whatever one is. If they didn't they would all have the same thoughts at exactly the same moment, would all want to marry the same man/woman etc etc. As for cloning Jesus. definitely not a good idea. I'm still struggling to understand how, in the 21st century there are still people who believe that a child can be born without two people having sex. It is NOT physically or scientifically possible, and if a woman came forward today and said God had made her pregnant we would laugh at her and probably have her committed. But because this story is 2000+ years old, it has to be the truth?? My opinion for what it's worth (and I am entitled to it) is that Jesus was a normal human being who walked this Earth 2000 years ago. He had a vision of making the world a better place, and believed in the same 'God' that we do. When He allegedly taught people 'The Lord's prayer, He said 'OUR' father who art in heaven'. He didn't say 'MY' father, who art in heaven'. He never once said he was the 'Son of God'.
Most of the bible is lost in translation, and what people don't know, they tend to make up and make the pieces fit, even if they don't. I understand people needing to have a faith, we all need faith in something, but 'Grimm's fairytales' is probably about as acurate as the bible. (just my opinion of course)We can't even begin to consider cloning God. That would mean that He wasn't set apart from us. He is the divine Entity who created the universe and everything in it. We should give Him some respect for that. We can't be like God, and personally, I wouldn't want the responsibility. Have you seen 'Bruce almighty'? We would make a total mess of things and soon be handing back the reigns.
This is a really good post, and I'll be reading more of your work. Take care Edit to above - It is possible for a woman to get pregnant without having sex, but she still needs the human sperm, whether in the womb or a test tube. The human male part is still essential,
I cant even begin to comment on this until ive thought about it...but ill be back!
RR,
I did not look at any other comments because I have my own answer to your quandry about a clone... a clone is a replicate recepticle the body is only a " glass and we are the "Diet Dr Pepper" that goes into it granted some people are Diet mountain Dew other cranberry juice in a shot glass still others are beer in a stein- some water ina vase- either way the case is different than the contents when you die the soul is poured out trust me - * shameless plug alert i know what happens when you die- 3 part series on it on my hub* So like i aid if you go out of body your life blood juice gets taken out of your bodu - the vase , cup, glass thats it. you can clone the vase - the body but the drink is always different BUT have you ever met anyone who is "just like you"- it is the juice that is the same but just a little different- apple juice or sugar free apple juice or apple cider or hard apple ciders all are apple based but a little different-the thing that makes us differewnt is our - accumulation of lifeexperiences - if you don't mind or even if you do I think i will steal this for a hub but i will reference this hub to get some traffic your way....
These are just my feelings- I diid not read any other comments except Pinks= cuz shes my freind... *hehe*
TH
I cant take a side on this. Im kind of feeling that cloneing is not at all mutiplying the same soul, but more mutiplying the same personality, dna, etc. I mean every body has to have its own soul right? Maybe cloning will actually make me think harder about the soul. I dont know, i am one to admit when i cant even fathom an opinion on something, and here as you can tell by my crazy comment that makes no sense, I cannot come up with a point of view on this. I do think it would be neat however to clone and raise yourself. Not for real, I mean, its kind of a neat idea in theory. That would satisfy my mother with her old "i hope one day you have a daughter and she is exactly like you" line she throws at me while talking about how difficult i could be. Sorry my comment was not more thought provoking, better luck for me next time!
...as long as they don't clone someone like you - because you are one of a kind!!
Geez,
Can't we pick someone more practical and sexy to clone. How about Venus? I mean, really, have you seen those outfits she wears?
What day will we have Double God Coupon Day? I may want to invite some friends to bring some beer.
Btw, I enjoyed your wry humor. Great title, too.
Where do we get the bit to clone jesus? The shroud of Turin is false. so where does this dna come from?
You have unwittingly mentioned another reason God will end 'knowledge increasing' by his return.
Daniel 12:4 "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased".
Great writing. Nice concept. and great answer to Hubcrafter
"I didnt say I blv in a creator God :) I was just teaching an irrational person the possibilities. Anyways, the clone Gods would serve different purposes. If u dont like the idea of becoming a god then u can still worship him nd have a personal god of urs. A personal clone God will surely listen to ur prayers, besides you dont have to go to church anymore :) "
carry on my frd.

No we can not make god.
God means? who you say god?
Ram/Krishna (hindu god), Buddha, Mahavir, Jesus, Mohammad, Gurunanak. They were only social reformer of their times. We have blindly given them status of god.
Sorry they are not god. God is not human body but he has created the human body.
God is….. Almighty, One Without Second, not seen, only felt. So god cannot be created. God has created everything – the nature. Without the help of the nature we cannot do anything. How dare anyone can boost that human can clone the almighty.
We are able to create identical human beings taking his/her cell from the body which have ability of mutation but we are not creating anything different for which we can boost that it is what we have created of our own without the help of the nature and be aware that the nature is created by almighty. We are able to create the things or transforming them into other things only with the help of nature only.
Due to mutation ability of cell we can make other bodies just like an iron rod can be splited into millions/billions of pieces/particles but the iron remains the same in nature.
We can see in ancient Hindu mythology/ stories that one persons parts himself more than two or more he desired, increase his shape and size de willed.
However there are also many facts which we cannot ignore. Say past life – if there had no soul connection with body how would people tell about their past life. We do not know who our destiny maker is, how long we will live in this world etc etc. are many many questions if heeded there is lot of confusion. By making human clone we can not boast that we can create almighty. There are plenty of things which we can never discover and decipher but yes we can try to transform the things.

Amusing, interesting and thought provoking. I will be pondering over this for weeks.
